To begin with, two players will need to drink from a cup each. They’ll then have to bounce a ping pong ball into the cup they drank from. If they manage to do this, they’ll pass the cup and ball clockwise to the next player.
The aim of a player is to bounce their ball into the cup first before the other player. If this happens, you stack the two cups together. The stack is then moved clockwise while the losing player will need to drink another cup of beer and start building a new stack again.
The game ends when all the cups have been emptied and stacked. The winner is usually the player who has drank the least amount of cups. However, some versions of Rage Cage don’t have a traditional winner or loser. The game is instead a team effort to empty all the cups.
What You’ll Need To Play?
To play the Rage Cage Drinking Game, you’ll need plastic cups, ping pong balls, and beer. You can use other beverages, but beer is often the best option. Any kind of plastic cup will do, but the more players you have, the more cups you’ll need.

Rage Cage Drinking Game Rules and Gameplay
The Aim of The Game
Rage Cage is an exciting game because while the aim is the same, to win, it can be wholly team-based, or there can be a winning player or players. If you are playing by the latter rules, then the winner is the player who drinks the least beers.
However, if you are playing by the team-based setup, everyone wins when you finish all the beers. We’ll talk more about how the rules work in the gameplay section below. But first, let’s talk about how you set up the game so it’s ready to play.
Setting Up
To start with, you should lay the cups out in a circle pattern. The cups should be touching or at least close together. Each cup should only be filled halfway with beer apart from the cup at the very center of the circle. This is the final cup and should be filled to the top.
Once this is ready, players should form a row at the front of the table. The two players in the middle will be the first to play. Make sure each player has a ping pong ball ready to bounce, and then you can begin.
Playing Rage Cage
To start playing Rage Cage, the front two players should take a cup each from the outer layer of the circle. After drinking the beer, both players should try to bounce a ping pong ball into the cup they drank from.
The first player to do this will then pass their cup to the player next to them. If a player manages to bounce their ping pong ball before the other player, they stack their cup into their opponents and move the stack to the player next to them.
The losing player will then need to drink another beer and try to bounce their ping pong ball into a cup again. This gameplay loop continues till all the cups in the circle have been drunk from and then stacked.
However, the cup at the center of the circle must be drunk from last. If a player manages to bounce their ping pong ball in on their first attempt, they have the freedom to pass their cup/ stack to anyone on the table.
Winning Rage Cage
If you are all playing in one team, then there is no one winner in Rage Cage. Everyone wins when all the cups have been drunk from and stacked. Players are still competing against each other, but they are working towards the same end goal.
However, if you are playing where everyone is competing against each other, the winner will be the player (or players) who drinks the least beer. This is an unusual twist for a drinking game we know!
Both games follow the same rules, but if you’re playing against each other, you’ll need to be quick and careful with your shots. Because if you don’t get your ball in the cup first, you’ll need to drink, which decreases your chances of winning.
Time Attack Rage Cage
One fun extra-bonus way to play Rage Cage worth knowing about is the time attack mode. This game follows the same rules as the above. All players are working together to drink/ stack all the cups.
However, you’ll be playing against the clock as well. You’ll only have ten minutes to drink/ stack all the cups, or you lose! This adds an extra layer of tension to the game because you can’t afford to miss many shots. Simply use a stopwatch to monitor the time and start playing.
